Due to this business model and privacy policy, the founders of WhatsApp left the company. However, now a new news has emerged stating that the plan to advertise on WhatsApp has just been stopped.
According to a report in The Wall Street Journal, the team that was supposed to work for WhatsApp on WhatsApp has already been banned. This does not mean that WhatsApp will no longer be advertised. The company can work on this model in the near future. But this model can’t be implemented right now.
WhatsApp doesn’t make much money: The model the company is currently working on doesn’t make a lot of money. Because of this, this advertising model was being rolled out. In the same way that ads are served on Instagram, the status feature was also making ads on Instagram such as WhatsApp. This was made clear by the company at the Marketing Summit in 2020 alone.
